CROSSROADS
This post is basically going to build on the post I made on April 24th titled "REASON". The reason for today's post is, the margin between what is actually happening in the world versus what is being said on TV and political circles is becoming ridiculous, and in my opinion dangerous.
While this post is going to focus on the events taking place in the Middle East, the premise stated in the opening paragraph (sadly) is not isolated to the Middle East. In my opinion it also applies to the Russia /Ukraine war, the threat of China, Islamic Terrorism, and what is actually happening in Venezuela to add a few examples.
Focusing on the Middle East, the situation, and extenuating consequences regarding the current situation with the Strait of Hormuz cannot be overstated. Whether you are talking about gas, diesel, jet fuel, or fertilizers for planting crops the Strait of Hormuz has a direct effect on each. To state it plainly, every day that goes by, the world gets much closer to a situation that will be very dangerous, and (though not impossible) extremely hard to recover from.
The topic described in the last paragraph is obviously very important. However, most of what is being talked about on TV, and in political circles is the U.S. Naval blockade, or the economy in Iran. While the reality is, Iran does not care about their economy, and although I have the utmost respect for our Navy, the blockade alone is not going to break the will of the radical Iranian Regime.
The purpose of this post is simply to illustrate the gap between what is being said, and what is actually happening as well as to explain reasons why what is currently happening is not only important but if handled wrongly very dangerous.
Stay informed.
Wow! Thank you this post Alex.
