PERU

Today in Peru, the congress impeached the interim president of the country. Jose Jeri had only been in the position since October 10. He was the eighth  leader since 2016 of the South American nation of roughly 32 million people.

The move grows the obvious political instability in the country and is likely going to lead to significant unrest via protests and riots. The situation is only made more chaotic by the fact that a general election is scheduled to take on the 12th of April.
