WEAKNESS
As a citizen of the United States, it is not with joy that I write this post. However, honesty is the standard on this blog (with no politics). With that in mind I have to say that in my opinion everything currently going on in the world makes the U.S. look very weak.
Whether we are talking about the current situation in Venezuela, relations with Syria, Ukraine, or the war in the Middle East among other examples, the way each is being handled makes the United States look weak. As I have discussed in previous posts, the U.S "should" be over everything that takes place in the world. When I say, "over everything" I do not mean directly involved, what I mean is as the most powerful country on earth, we should have significant sway over all global affairs.
With the prior paragraph in mind, let me say what the reason for this post is. The War in the Middle East started on the last day of February. Iran is in every way inferior to the United States. Why on the first day of June am I writing this post? because Israel said they were going to strike Beirut today, but allegedly the President of the United States called Israel and told them not to do it. Like I always say nothing on this blog will ever be political. The only reason that I bring up the President is it is important for the clarity of the post.
In conclusion, I hope the "calling off the strikes" is some sort of a ruse and the strikes still happen soon. Since it is in the Middle East the topic of this post might seem inconsequential, and just seeing things a different way, it is not. The enemies of the free world are on the prowl, and they sense weakness and feel like they have an advantage. If the free world (particularly the United States) does show its might during this period of time, and properly use its sway over the world, the world will look very different in the not-too-distant future.
This is not fearmongering, the threats in the world are very big, and extremely dangerous (especially if they are not handled the right way).
Great post!
