BE PREPARED
I have said many times on this blog that the world is changing. In this post, I am going to talk about being ready for what is coming (and in some parts of the world, is already happening). This post is going to go about doing this in a similar way to the posts "EVIL, BUT REALITY," and "CONTEX EXERCISE."
The country you live in is being invaded, shortly after the invasion begins you join the military to fight off the invaders. You can choose to help to stop the enemy by fighting.
You are watching a game on TV; a warning comes on the screen saying that your country is being invaded. Scared, you immediately get into your car intending to drive somewhere safe hoping to wait out the fighting. You can find safety somewhere, and hope for the best.
A nurse just finished her shift and is driving to pick her kids up after school. She has the radio on, halfway to the school an announcement comes on the radio saying her country is being invaded. She is filled with an urge to get to her kids. A few minutes later, she stops her car at a roadblock. An invading soldier runs to her door, and yells at her to get out of the car.
The nurse (solely concerned about her kids) gets out of the car. The soldier commands her to get on her knees. Dozens of other civilians who are stopped in their cars watch in horror as the nurse is killed. The nurse was not going to fight; she was not going to hide and stay safe hoping the fighting did not affect her. She got out of the car (knowing her life was likely about to end) because in that situation she concluded anything other than giving herself away might in the long run harm her kids. You might find yourself in a situation where you have to make the hard decision to sacrifice your life.
None of the above responses is necessarily right, or wrong. The reason for this post is to encourage you (the reader) to think about what response you would have in the event where your country is invaded. You will likely respond in one of the three ways discussed in this post.
